RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla; mix in flour, salt, and nuts. Gradually add to creamed mixture, blending well. Chill dough 1 hour. Shape into balls, put on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown. Roll in powdered sugar warm; let cool then roll again. Makes 4 dozen.
