GERMAN NUT CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 whole eggs
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts
10 oz. jar cherries without liquid

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add rest of ingredients in any order. Fold in nuts and whole cherries.

Bake in 10-inch tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes. (Check after 1 hour.)
