FROSTING FOR GERMAN CHOCOLATE
CAKE
 
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut flakes

Combine ingredients and cook over low heat; stirring constantly until thickened, about 12 minutes. Add chopped pecans and coconut flakes.

Excellent and easy...And I like that it doesn't have evaporated milk. I did cook it on medium heat, but I used a heat plate underneath my pot so it would not scorch. Tastes perfect

I LOVE this recipe. It's so GOOD & easy! I let it cool a little and then pour it on my 9x13-inch pan, this way it soaks into the top of my cake... mmmmmmmm GOOD!
