FRIED OKRA, TOMATOES & BEANS 
2 1/2 c. sliced okra
1/2 c. butter or bacon fat
1 med. tomato, chopped
3 slices bacon
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. chopped green onion (opt.)
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal

Cook bacon in heavy skillet until brown, when cool, crumble. Toss cut okra in flour and meal mixture until well coated. Cook okra in bacon fat or butter (as you like) until okra is slightly brown, then add green onions, and tomatoes. Cook until brown and tender, stir in crumbled bacon and serve.
