FRESH OKRA SALAD 
Fresh okra
2-4 slices fried bacon
1 lg. tomato, sliced or chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
Cornmeal
Bacon drippings

Slice okra and roll in cornmeal with salt and pepper to taste. Fry bacon and drain. Fry okra in bacon drippings; add onion in okra just before finished frying. Drain. After okra drains, put in salad bowl, add crumbled bacon and sliced or chopped tomato and serve.
