PRUNE COOKIES 
2 lbs. prunes, cooked and cut up
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
Grated rind of lemon and juice
Grated rind of orange
1/2 c. cherries
3/4 lb. raisins, cooked
1 glass grape jelly
1 can crushed pineapple and juice

Mix all ingredients and cook for 1/2 hour.

DOUGH:

2 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Stir in vanilla and mix flour, soda, and salt; chill dough. Roll dough 1/16 inch thick on floured board. Cut into squares about 2 inches. Spread a rounded teaspoon of filling. Fold corners over. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees until delicately browned.
