PRUNE CAKE WITH SAUCE 
CAKE:

3 eggs, beaten
1 c. Wesson oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda in milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 c. prunes, cooked & cut
1 c. nuts, chopped

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda in milk
1 tbsp. syrup
3/4 stick butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

CAKE: Mix all ingredients and pour into 10 x 13 inch pan. Bake 45 minutes at 300 degrees.

SAUCE: Boil 1 minute. Pour over cake while cake is still warm.
