CHOLESTEROL FREE BEANS 
1 lb. red kidney beans
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. liquid smoke
1 bay leaf
1 sprig thyme
1 tsp. salt
Water as needed

Sort and rinse beans. Put all ingredients except the liquid smoke in crock pot, cover with water. Cook on low 8-10 hours. Add water as needed. Approximately 30 minutes before serving, add liquid smoke. Serve over boiled rice.
