2 c. sugar
1/2 c. (white) corn syrup
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
Dash of salt

Cook sugar and corn syrup to soft boil stage. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add 1/3 of syrup mixture to beaten egg whites. Bring remaining syrup to hard boil stage. Pour the syrup over mixture beating continually. Add vanilla, pecans and salt. Drop by teaspoons on wax paper.
