SECRET KISS COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 c. finely chopped walnuts
5 3/4 oz. pkg. milk chocolate kisses
Confectioner's sugar

In mixing bowl, combine butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat until light and creamy. Add sifted flour and nuts and beat on low speed to blend. Chill dough until firm, 2 to 3 hours. Remove foil from kisses and heat oven to 375 degrees. Using approximately 1 tablespoon of dough, shape it around chocolate kisses. Be sure candy is completely covered. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12 minutes or until cookies are set but not brown. Cool slightly and remove to cake rack. While warm, roll in confectioner's sugar. Cool. Store in tightly covered container. Roll in sugar again before serving. Yield: about 40 cookies.
