RUM BALLS 
1 pkg. dates, cut fine
1 1/2 cups pecans
3 teaspoons light Karo corn syrup
1 tablespoon water
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark rum
18 vanilla wafers (crushed)

Combine all ingredients in the order listed. Roll into a ball and then roll each one in sugar.
