RED VELVET CAKE 
1 box Duncan Hines yellow cake mix
3 tsp. cocoa
1/2 c. sugar
3 (1 oz.) bottles of red food coloring (I fill 1 of the bottles with water & use this water to rinse all the bottles out, then add this to cake mix)
1 stick butter, melted
3 eggs
2/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Sift cake mix, add cocoa, sugar, butter and eggs. Mix well. Add buttermilk and flavorings. Mix vinegar and soda and add last. Bake at 350 degrees. Makes 3 layers.

FROSTING:

12 oz. cream cheese
1 1/2 boxes 4x sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and spread on cooled cake.
