RAISIN NUT LOAF 
1 c. boiling water
1 c. raisins
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 3/4 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour 1 cup of boiling water over the raisins, sugar and baking soda. While cooling mix the following flour, eggs, vanilla and nuts. It will be very dry and doughy. Pour dry mixture into boiled water mixture. Bake in greased loaf pan for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Done when toothpick comes out dry.
