COCONUT PIE 
Baked pier shell
2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs, separated
3 level tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 stick butter
1 c. coconut

Put cornstarch and sugar together. Beat egg yolks, then mix with milk. Put this into the sugar mixture. Cook until it thickens. Add flavoring, butter and coconut. Pour into pie shell.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
6 tsp. sugar
