GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE | |
4 oz. Baker's German chocolate 1/4 c. butter 13 oz. evaporated milk 1 c. granulated sugar 3 tbsp. cornstarch 1/8 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/3 c. coconut 1/2 c. pecan pieces 9 inch unbaked deep dish pie shell Melt chocolate with butter. remove from heat; gradually stir in milk. Mix sugar, salt and cornstarch together. Stir into chocolate mixture. beat eggs; gradually add to chocolate mixture. Add vanilla. Stir in coconut and pecans. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for at least 4 hours. |
