GERMAN APPLE KUCHEN 
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
10 oz. med. cream, whipped
4 apples, peeled & quartered, then sliced
3 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar (for topping)
2 tsp. cinnamon
Chopped nuts (optional)

Sift together flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder and salt. Fold in cream (whipped). Pat into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Then place sliced apples on top in rows. Brush with melted butter.

Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle on top of apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until apples are tender. Serve with ice cream.
