SNICKERDOODLES 
1 c. soft butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Cinnamon and sugar

Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs well. Blend dry ingredients; stir in. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Bake on ungreased baking sheet 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes about 5 dozen.
