FOILED CHICKEN AND RICE | |
Instant rice (see below) Lipton dry onion soup mix (see below) Chicken breasts (see below) Butter (see below) Milk (see below) Prepare instant rice according to directions on box allowing one serving per person. Add 1 tablespoon soup mix per serving to rice. Onto a square of foil, place an individual serving of the rice mixture. Place a chicken breast on top of rice. On top of chicken, put 2 pats of butter and 2 tablespoons of milk. Seal foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Note: To make a great taste combination with this dish, we would suggest the following. Drain a can of whole green beans and marinate them in Wish Bone Italian dressing for at least 4 hours. Cut raw bacon strips in half. Take a small "bundle" of beans and wrap with a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place "bundles" in a baking dish and broil until bacon is cooked. For a sweet taste, place several drained, canned peach halves in a pie plate, flat side up. Put a spoon of grape jelly into peach pit "well" and broil until jelly turns to candy. |
