SWISS STUFFED PRUNES WITH BACON 
24 lg. size prunes, stones removed
24 1/2 x 1/2 inch circles Swiss cheese
12 slices bacon

Put cheese pieces inside prune, where pit has been removed.

Place bacon in cold frying pan. Cook over low heat until most of fat is extracted, but keeping bacon strips limp. Remove from pan. Cut in half. Wrap 1/2 bacon strip around each prune. Fasten with toothpick. Place on wire rack in shallow pan. Broil under medium heat until bacon is crisp. Place on paper towel to absorb fat. Serve warm.
