BUTTERCREAM FROSTING 
1 c. fresh milk
4 tbsp. flour
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour with milk and heat on stove and make a smooth white sauce. Set aside to cool. Then beat butter and sugar until light and creamy. Add the vanilla. Then add white sauce and beat to a pulp. Taste to see that the sugar is dissolved. Yields 1 cake.

This is a wonderful creamy frosting, no eggs needed. I made a 1/2 batch, as I only needed a center filling, and it was more than enough. Very quick. I used a hand whip and it didn't take too long to get a creamy fluffy frosting.

I just made this as a sub. for my Wilton buttercream icing for a diabetic, (sub the sugar for splenda) but I must say change is Good! Even with the splenda, but next time I will make with Reg sugar. Oh yea and if you are baking alot this recipe is less $$.
