3/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. corn syrup 3/4 c. chunky peanut butter 4 1/2 c. corn flakes Rice Krispies or Cheerios 3/4 c. peanuts or broken mixed nuts Line 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan with greased foil. In 3 quart saucepan, mix sugar and corn syrup, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil 1 minute. Mix in peanut butter; turn into pan. Stir in corn flakes and nuts. Press together firmly. Cool. Remove from pan. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. May be stored in tightly covered container up to 3 weeks. Makes 4 1/2 dozen. |
