RAISIN PIE 
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 2/3 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. flour
A few slices tart apple
2/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. butter
Dash or two cinnamon

In saucepan combine raisins and water. Cook, covered for 10 minutes. Combine sugar and flour; stir into raisins. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens and bubbles.

Remove from heat and stir in butter, lemon juice and cinnamon. Pour hot mixture into pastry-lined pie crust. Place top crust over filling. Cut slits for escape of steam. Bake at 425 degrees until brown.
