DIVINITY CANDY 
3 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook sugar, syrup and water on medium heat and stir. Let cook about 8 minutes until ready. Take little in spoon and drop in cup of water to form soft ball. Beat egg whites on high for 2 minutes. Begin pouring in half of syrup. Continue beating. Then place other half on stove and let cook until it forms hard ball in water. Pour remaining into bowl and add vanilla. Beat thoroughly. When beginning to be stiff, pour in nuts. Drop onto wax paper or buttered dish with teaspoons.
