FRESH TOMATO BAKE 
1/4 c. butter
2 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tbsp. butter
1 med. onion, sliced thin
4 med. tomatoes, peeled & quartered
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

In a medium bowl in microwave, melt 1/4 cup butter on High for 30 seconds. Add fresh bread crumbs and mix well. Set aside. Combine salt, pepper, sugar and basil. In a large casserole, melt 2 tablespoons butter and saute sliced onion on High for 1 1/2 minutes. Add tomatoes and seasonings and toss lightly to combine. Cover tightly and microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring once. Sprinkle buttered crumbs over tomatoes and top with grated Parmesan cheese. Microwave, covered, on High for 2 to 3 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
