SNOWBALLS 
1/2 lb. unsalted butter (I use butter)
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. sherry
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
8 oz. chocolate kisses
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter, sugar and sherry together until smooth. Add flour and stir in the nuts. Gather dough into a ball, wrap in plastic and refrigerate at least half an hour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove foil from kisses and insert each one inside ball of dough about 1 inch in diameter. Make sure each kiss is completely surrounded with dough. Bake cookies on ungreased cookie sheet about 12 minutes. Sprinkle warm cookies with confectioners' sugar. Make about 4 1/2 dozen.
