ESCALLOPED CABBAGE 
1 med. head of cabbage
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. chopped pimento
6 slices bacon
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 c. grated cheese
1 1/2 c. med. cream sauce
2 tbsp. sugar

Chop and cook cabbage; drain. Prepare 1 1/2 cups medium cream sauce to taste. Add sugar. Fry bacon crisp and crumble. Drain bacon drippings; save 2 tablespoons and toss with bread crumbs. Place cabbage in baking dish. Cover with peppers, bacon, and pimentos. Add sauce, then grated cheese. Cover with crumbs. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
