PORK CHOP CASSEROLE 
1/2 stick butter
1 medium onion, chopped
1 c. uncooked rice
1 can consomme soup
1 small can mushroom pieces
6 medium pork chops

Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add onion and rice. Simmer until onions are transparent. Add 1 can consomme and 1 can water. Add mushrooms and bring to a boil. Arrange browned chops in bottom of buttered casserole and pour rice mixture on top. Bake at 350°F for 45-55 minutes. Serves 6.
