WHOLE WHEAT BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1/8 to 1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. lard
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. warm water
3 c. whole wheat flour
3 to 4 c. all-purpose or bread flour

Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in large mixing bowl. Add honey, lard, salt, and 2 cups of warm water and the whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth. Mix in enough all-purpose flour to make dough easy to handle.

Turn dough on lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Place in covered bowl. Let rise until double. Punch down. Divide into half. Make into loaves. Put in bread pan. Let rise until double. Bake in 375 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes.
