SOUTHERN SWEET CHOCOLATE DESSERT 
1 (4 oz.) bar German sweet chocolate
1/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 eggs
1 lg. can evaporated milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. nutmeats

Melt chocolate and butter over low heat; cool. Beat eggs; add evaporated milk, sugar, cornstarch, salt and vanilla. Combine chocolate mixture with the egg mixture. Pour into an 8" square greased baking pan. Mix together coconut and nutmeats; sprinkle over dessert in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until top is bubbly and slightly cracked. Let cool at least 2 hours before cutting. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
