6 eggs
7 tbsp. oil
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tsp. baking powder
Rind of a lemon or an orange
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. anise
3 1/2 c. flour

Mix together the above ingredients. Once dough is thoroughly mixed, begin to roll pieces into pencil thin tubes about 4 inches long and make a knot. If too sticky, rub butter on your hands. (Adding more flour will make them hard.)

Bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown. Ice with powdered sugar icing in various shades of food coloring.
