2 cups sugar 1 3/4 cups plus 2 tbsp. butter 6 tbsp. water 2 tsp. vanilla milk chocolate chopped pecans Combine sugar, butter and water in heavy saucepan. Using candy thermometer, cook to 300°F, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and continue stirring; add vanilla. Pour into large buttered pan. Shave milk chocolate on top of candy while still hot. Sprinkle pecans over candy and press into melted chocolate. When cool, cut into squares. Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended. |
