BUTTER CREAM ICING 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. soft butter
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Cream together with mixer. Beat until light and fluffy. Keep icing covered with damp cloth until ready to decorate.

For lemon icing, use 1 teaspoon lemon extract. Chocolate icing, use 1/4 cup cocoa.
