INDIAN PUDDING | |
Scald 3 cups milk, stir in 3 tablespoons cornmeal and 1/3 cup molasses. Cook until thick stirring constantly. Remove from fire and add 1/2 cup sugar, 1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon butter, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon ginger and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Pour into buttered baking dish and place in 300 degree oven. After 1/2 hour, add 1 cup cold milk (do not stir). Bake 2 hours longer. Serve with milk, cream, or ice cream. |
