SAUERBRATEN 
Roast

MARINADE:

1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 qts. water
1 tbsp. pickling spices
1-2 tbsp. sugar
2-3 tbsp. salt

(Don't heat). Put spices in spice sack.

Marinate roast for 3-4 days in refrigerator. Drain all but a cup of liquid. Save. Bake at 300 degrees until tender. Remove from pan, make gravy.

SOUR CREAM GRAVY:

2-3 tbsp. sour cream
2-3 c. marinade
Flour
Water
Salt and pepper
