HEALTH BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. quick oatmeal
2 tsp.salt
2 tbsp. shortening
2 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. bran
3/4 c. honey
1 c. whole wheat flour
7 c. all-purpose flour

Soften yeast in warm water. Combine next 5 ingredients. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast and honey. Stir in wheat flour and 2 cups white flour, beat well. Gradually add remaining flour to make a soft dough. Turn out on lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth.

Place in greased bowl. Cover, let rise until double. Punch down, divide in half. Shape into 2 loaves. Place in two 9 x 2 x 3 inch greased pans. Let rise until double. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
