PECAN PIE SURPRISE BARS 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. dark corn syrup (may use light syrup)
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Set aside in bowl 3/4 cup cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, butter, and 1 egg. Mix with fork until well mixed. Press into the bottom of a greased 9x13x2 inch pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until light brown.

In a large bowl, combine reserved cake mix, 3 eggs, brown sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla. Beat with electric mixer 2 minutes. Pour over partially baked crust and sprinkle with chopped pecans. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool, cut.
