CORN CHOWDER - QUICK | |
1 1/2 c. cooked corn 1/2 c. cubed bacon 1 sm. onion cut fine 1 c. raw potatoes, cubed 1 c. water 3 tbsp. flour 2 c. milk 2 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic salt Saute bacon in a frying pan a few minutes; then add onion and continue to cook until onion is soft. Parboil potatoes in water about 5 minutes, or until tender. In a saucepan combine bacon, onions, potatoes with water and corn. Combine milk and flour, and add to other ingredients. Stir over heat until mixture comes to a boil. Add seasonings, simmer several minutes, and serve hot. If too thick, add additional milk. Serves 6 to 8. |
