PILAF 
1 c. broken vermicelli
1/2 cube butter
1 can chicken or beef broth
1 can water
1 c. white rice, soaked

In large skillet, brown vermicelli in 2 tablespoons butter. Add rice, water, broth and rest of butter. Bring to a boil. Turn heat down and let simmer for 20 minutes with lid on. Then let it stand for 20 minutes with the heat off. Do not lift lid. Salt and pepper to taste.
