PINEAPPLE PIE 
1 pie shell
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3 eggs
1 c. cold water
1/2 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple

MERINGUE:

1 c. sugar
3 egg whites
Cream of tartar

Beat on high. Top on pie.

Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add a little water to mix.

Separate egg whites and yolks. Beat 3 yolks well. Add to above mixture. Add water and pineapple. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Pour into pie shell. Cover with meringue. Bake 350 degrees until slightly brown.
