APPLE BROWN SUGAR PORK CHOPS
2 pork chops (1" thick)
1 apple sliced or chopped into small pieces
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
dash of cinnamon

Slice pork chops into small, thin slices. Cut apple into small pieces.

In a large skillet, add 3/4 stick of butter and brown sugar. Cook the pork chop strips on medium heat until pork is cooked through.

Once the pork chops start looking done, add the rest of the butter and the apples until slightly softened but not limp.

Serve with vegetables or mashed potatoes or a side dish of your choice.

Apple Brown Sugar Pork Chops

Another way to do this recipe (and is fantastic)... is to brown the chops in oil with little butter (to help with browning)... when both sides are brown... add a peeled/sliced granny smith apple to top of each chop... put one Tbsp of brown sugar over the apples... then fill the skillet (just to top of chop - but not over)... with water. Cover & simmer... till brown sugar has dissolved/apples cooked. Its like Apple pie made over your pork chop. So easy - so delicious.

FANTASTICALLY AMAZING!!! I've known for a while that apples are supposed to pair well with pork, this was the first time I tried it, LOVE it!! I will most certainly be making it again!! My husband loved it too, we were both amazed at how well this turned out! And I love that it's so easy to make! :)

I love this recipe. I have always baked the pork chops and then pour the sauce over them. Tonight I am cutting them up. Something simple to make with four small kids in the house.

We loved this recipe, I used a bit less butter, added a 2nd small apple, some finely chopped onion and a dash of kosher salt... oh and I left my center cut chops whole... delicious!

As a college student trying to get my handle on cooking, this recipe was to die for. Not only did I have everything I needed for it, it was very easy to prepare, and delicious. I used red delicious apples to add more sweetness, and added cinnamon as recommended.

This recipe was very easy to make, and tastes really good. My husband, who doesn't care much for apples, really liked it and went back for seconds!!!

Just tried the recipe tonight. It's really easy to do and tastes great but I added more cinnamon and less butter and it still seemed like there was a lot of liquid in the pan. Also I used granny smith apples so it wasn't too sweet. Paired with garlic mashed potatoes it was wonderful!
