HEARTY CABBAGE SOUP 
1/2 med. head cabbage, chopped
1 1/2 onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef, browned
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt (optional)
2 cans tomatoes (with juice)
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. allspice
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 can mushrooms
3/4 c. chopped celery
5 c. water
Tabasco sauce

In large soup kettle, combine ground beef, tomatoes, cabbage, and remaining ingredients, except tomato paste. Season with Tabasco sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer 1 hour. Add tomato paste and cook 15 minutes.
