KITCHENETTE PUDDING 
1 c. dark brown sugar
3 slices buttered bread (white or raisin cut bread into 1" squares)
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1/8 tbsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Generously butter inside of double boiler top. Pour in brown sugar; level and put bread squares on top. Beat eggs and milk together with salt and vanilla; pour over bread, but don't stir. Cook over boiling water 1 hour, covered.
