NUTTY PUDDING BARS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 (12 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) butterscotch pieces 1 (12 oz.) jar peanut butter 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate 1 c. butter 1/2 of 1 (4 serving size) pkg. (5 tbsp.) reg. vanilla pudding mix 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 tsp. vanilla 2 lb. powdered sugar, sifted 2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped peanuts Combine chocolate and butterscotch pieces, peanut butter and unsweetened chocolate. Stir over low heat until melted. Spread half of the mixture in 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan; chill until set. Let remaining mixture stand, covered, at room temperature. Combine butter, pudding mix and milk. Cook and stir to melt butter; stir in vanilla. Turn into large mixer bowl; beat in sugar until smooth. Spread over chilled layer. Sprinkle nuts atop; spread remaining chocolate over all. Chill until firm. Makes 6 pounds. |
