APPLE SLICES 
CRUST:

2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. lard
1 egg (separate egg yolk & milk to make 2/3 c.)
2/3 c. crushed cornflakes (rolled out for your pan)

FILLING:

5 c. apples
1 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix ingredients for crust, roll out in bottom of pan; spread filling mixture over crust. Beat egg whites and spread on top of filling to form crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-45 minutes or until brown.
