2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. finely chopped dates
1/3 c. finely chopped maraschino cherries
1 1/3 c. crushed corn flakes
15 maraschino cherries, quartered

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside. In large bowl beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Add flour; mix well. Stir in nuts, dates and chopped cherries.

Shape level tablespoons of dough into balls. Roll in crushed cornflakes. Place on greased cookie sheet. Top each with quartered cherry. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-14 minutes or until lightly brown. Yields 5 dozen cookies.
