CHICKEN ROSE 
4 chicken breasts, split or 2 cut up fryers
1/4 c. rose wine or dry wine
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. salad oil or part olive oil
2 tbsp. water
1 clove garlic, minced or garlic salt
1 tbsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. oregano
1 tbsp. brown sugar

Mix ingredients and pour over chicken in baking dish. Marinate 2 hours before cooking. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours - basting often. Add water if sauce is cooking away too quickly - this is good with rice or wild rice. Makes elegant gravy. Serves 6-8.
