NANAIMO BARS 
CRUST:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
5 tsp. cocoa
1 egg
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. cocoa
2/3 c. walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

FILLING:

1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. milk
2 tbsp. vanilla instant pudding
2 c. confectioners' sugar
4 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp. butter

Mix and cook in double boiler until blended 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup sugar, cocoa. Mix egg, graham crackers, coconut, nuts and vanilla with above mixture and press into greased 9x13 inch pan.

Mix 1/2 cup butter, 2 tablespoons milk, pudding, and confectioners' sugar. Spread this mixture over crust. Melt chocolate and 1 teaspoon of butter. Spread on top. Refrigerate. Cut into bars or squares.
