DATE NUT PUDDING 
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. water
4 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. white sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Warm 3/4 cup brown sugar, water and butter in a pan in the oven. In a bowl, mix flour, white sugar, baking powder, 1/4 cup brown sugar, dates, nuts, milk and salt. Pour over mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees. Serve plain or with cream.
