POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. Swans Down cake flour
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Beat in each egg separately, about one minute each. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternating with milk; then add vanilla and lemon flavorings. Place in COLD OVEN and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes, without opening oven.
