BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 (16 oz.) bag broccoli (frozen)
1/3 of a 2 lb. chunk Velveeta cheese or 1 jar Cheez Whiz
2 (1/2 pt.) cream or 2 c. half and half
2 (12 oz.) cans chicken broth
6 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 stick butter
Dash of pepper
4 or 5 dashes lemon and herb seasoning
6 tbsp. sugar

THICKENER:

4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water

Boil broccoli in chicken broth about 4 minutes. Add onion also. After it's done remove broccoli with a slotted spoon to a different dish; set aside.

Next slice Velveeta into chicken broth and melt. After this, reduce heat to medium; add cream, cornstarch (which has been mixed with water until blended), and butter. Bring to boil until it thickens. Add broccoli; reduce heat again and add the rest of the other ingredients. Cook for about 10 minutes more. (Serves 6.)
